Yeah, people are going to pay to go to a movie theater and put on a COVID/Monkeypox-covered used goggle and squirm and turn, blind (and blindfolded) to the world around them, filled with strangers who could be doing anything at any given moment. Sounds like a fun future!

It works well in disney studio paris with Ratatouille experience! I think the purpose of amusement park is to provide virtuel reality experiences and it works for decades.

I guess you're not familiar with antibacterial surfaces and... cleaning.

A simple wipe down, and VR attendants solve your issues.

VR/AR in a theatre environment will save people thousands of dollars and allow us to share these experiences with friends and family

Yeah I'm not sure that guy has ever been to a grocery store, gas station, restaurant, or public gym. Sanitation and cleaning, what a concept!

If you’re wearing a VR headset, what’s the benefit of going to a theater?

The benefit is getting to use the very high-end VR without having to buy the equipment, and sharing experiences at the same time as friends and family. Which you could only do at home if you could afford several headsets and VR computers.

Usually this would cost thousands of dollars, and lots of time learning how to set it up and use it.

Good point! I'll be interested to see how it plays out.
